Community Care Workers - Casual & Permanent Part Time

Due to our continuous growth, PRONIA is seeking to employ Community Care workers who are committed to working with the elderly and can provide exceptional care and service to oir clients within their own home to enable them to maintain independence. If you are looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in your community combined with flexibility of working hours, if you are motivated caring and can work independently, them this is the position for you!

Position Requirements:

  • Current driver’s license.
  • A reliable vehicle.
  • Smartphone.
  • Current Police Check.
  • Covid-19 Vaccination desirable.
  • Flu vaccine desirable.
  • First Aid & CPR Training Level 2.
  • Cert III in Individual Support or equivalent or willing to enroll in training course.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Be reliable and punctual.
  • Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
  • The ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Have a positive and professional attitude.
  • Greek or non-Greek speakers (willingness to learn basic communication in Greek).

Duties vary depending on the client’s needs but may include:

Providing respite to carers, providing home care, personal care, light domestic assistance, meal preparation, community participation, shopping and assistance with tasks of daily living within an active service model approach.

Rostering Services Officer (Brokered Services Program) - Full Time

 

PRONIA is seeking a suitable applicant for a full time Rostering Services Officer position located in Oakleigh and may require some travel to other sites. Reporting to the Brokered Services Co-ordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing changes to the program roster.

 

The successful applicant will have, amongst other attributes, a demonstrated experience or an understanding of the needs of Greek elderly, carers and people with disabilities. Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues and develops an understanding of others in order to motivate them and confidently address conflict situations. Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and prioritise work load to meeting competing deadlines. Fluency in Greek and English is mandatory along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency use of Microsoft suite and packages such as Word, Excel, Access, internet and E-mail.

  • Mandatory: Current Driver License.
  • Access to own vehicle.
  • Undergo Criminal History Record Check at the required intervals.
  • Own IT infrastructure at home to enable work from home capabilities during periods of lockdown or where directed by the business.

Kindergarten Teacher - Casual

PRONIA is seeking a suitably qualified Kindergarten Teacher to fill the vacant position available at Alpha Early Learning Centre. Reporting to the Manager, you will work in accordance with the Children’s Centre policies and procedures; ensure a safe environment is maintained at all times for both staff and children. Any additional tasks will be in line with the overall position relating to the Alpha Early Learning Centre.

The successful applicant will have, relevant experience in Early Childhood development and care and must have a VIT (Victorian Institute of teachers Registration). Understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity and issues affecting the CALD community. The applicant must have excellent written and oral skills, excellent time management and proficiency in computer use. Proficient in speaking English and a second language would be highly recommended.

Mandatory:

First Aid, Child protection, WWCC and Police Check.

Case Worker - Full Time

Initially 4 days a week, 5 days as of January 2022

The position is funded under the HACC Home and Community Care Program (HACC) – Program for Younger People.

This funded activity is targeted at people below 65 years of age who have difficulty performing daily living activities and their carers. The position aims to meet the needs of Greek speaking community members and wider community. The activities for this role aim to enhance individual outcomes and build capacity within communities.
