Case Manager (Full-Time)

PRONIA is an ethno-specific community services agency servicing the needs of the Australian Greek community, operating under a dual model of advocacy and service development and delivery.

PRONIA is seeking a suitable applicant for the Case Manager position on a Full Time basis. Reporting to the Aged & Coordinated Care Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support to Home Care Package clients, monitor care recipient needs, seek opportunities for growth in the Home Care Packages program and undertake additional tasks in line with the overall position relating to PRONIA.

The successful applicant will have, amongst other attributes, appropriate tertiary qualifications preferably in Social Work, nursing or allied health fields, minimum 1 year experience in community aged care or case management, awareness of issues for Greek speaking carers and ability to work cooperatively and autonomously within a team environment.

Proficiency in speaking the Greek and English language, with excellent written and oral skills and excellent time management are essential. Proficient use of Microsoft suite and packages such as Word, Excel, Access, Internet and E-mail are also required.

Children Services Educators (Casual / Permanent Part-Time)

PRONIA is seeking suitable Children’s Services Educators to fill the vacant positions available at the Alpha Children’s Centre. Reporting to the Manager, you will work in accordance with Children’s Centre policies and procedures; ensure a safe environment is maintained for both staff and children. Any additional tasks will be in line with the overall position relating to the Alpha Children’s Centre.

The successful applicant will have, relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in Early Childhood development and care. Understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity and issues affecting the CALD community. The applicant must have excellent written and oral skills, excellent time management and proficiency in computer use. Proficient in speaking English and preferably a second language would be highly recommended.

Community Care Worker (Casual / Permanent Part-Time)

PRONIA is seeking to recruit people to join their vibrant and dynamic Aged & Co-ordinated Care Services Team.

We are looking for people who are interested in providing support to elderly and people with disabilities in the community to work in our Home Care Packages:

  • Home Care: House cleaning (e.g. dusting, wiping, mopping etc.) and other tasks such as washing, ironing, cooking and shopping.
     
  • Personal Care: Provide assistance for their personal care (e.g. helping with food, assistance in dressing, showering, toilet etc.), as well as accompanying them to appointments or leisure activities.

This is an opportunity for people to join an organisation which prides itself on quality and effective supports and services. Permanent part time work available – up to 30 hours per week.

We are looking for people who currently have a CERT III in Home and Community Care or equivalent or willingness to do the course whilst in paid employment as a Community Care Worker.

PRONIA places a strong emphasis on professional development & ongoing training, with the CERT III being the first step to a career in aged care.

Family Violence Worker (Full-Time / Fixed Term)

PRONIA is a leading Greek community service agency, delivering services to the Greek community since 1972 with programs in counselling and support, aged care, health, community education and early childhood education.   

The Family Violence Case work position works directly with Greek speaking families impacted by family violence to provide a culturally relevant, trauma informed, strength based service. The position woks in collaboration with other PRONIA and wider community mainstream services (Victoria Police, Courts, Orange Door etc) to provide a coordinated, therapeutic response to meet complex individual and family needs. The Family Violence case work role undertakes intensive case work with victim/survivors of family violence including those aged over 65 years and newly arrived migrants.  

The role provides intensive support, advocates and collaborates with a range relevant services from intake point, within a client focused, strength based approach to ensure safety and client goals are met. The role contributes to the identification and response of broader emerging needs within the community and has opportunity to be involved in prevention activities and group work with victim/survivors of family violence.

Generic Aide (Part-Time, 3 days / Fixed Term)

PRONIA is an ethno-specific community services agency servicing the needs of the Australian Greek community, operating under a dual model of advocacy and service development and delivery.

PRONIA is seeking two suitable Generic Aides on a part time capacity for Balwyn. Reporting to the Centre Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing support to clients who attend and participate in the Centre’s activities. You will also assist the clients with their personal care such as feeding, and toileting as required, assist in the organisation of relevant recreational, physical and educational activities for clients.

The successful applicant will have, amongst other attributes, well developed English written and oral skills, fluency in the Greek language and experience in organising recreational activities. A minimum Certificate III in Home and Community Care or the equivalent qualification as well as a Certificate II in First Aid or the willingness to undertake the course.

Rostering Services Officer (Full-Time)

Responsibilities will include:

  • Inputting data into rostering software
  • Maintinging electronic case notes on care manager
  • Facilitating client referrals

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated knowledge in speaking & writing English
  • Demonstrated knowledge in speaking Greek
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computers
