PRONIA is seeking a Part-Time, Fixed term Greek bilingual experienced caseworker. The position will work across Brunswick and Oakleigh office locations.

This position is funded until June 2020 to deliver a high quality, community capacity building program aimed to support to individuals and groups to access information and services to improve and plan for their health and wellbeing needs.

CASE MANAGER - HOME CARE PACKAGES PROGRAM

Part Time

PRONIA is seeking a suitable applicant for the Case Manager position on a Part time basis. Reporting to the Aged & Coordinated Care Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing support to Home Care Package clients, monitor care recipient needs, seek opportunities for growth in the Home Care Packages program and undertake additional tasks in line with the overall position relating to PRONIA.

The successful applicant will have, amongst other attributes, appropriate tertiary qualifications preferably in Social Work, nursing or allied health fields, minimum 2 years’ experience in community aged care or case management, awareness of issues for Greek speaking Carers and ability to work cooperatively within a team and autonomously. Proficient in speaking the Greek and English language, with excellent written and oral skills and excellent time management. Proficiency use of Microsoft suite and packages such as Word, Excel, Access, Internet and E-mail.

Remuneration according to qualifications & experience under the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Industry Award 2010. Salary packaging available.

Childrens Services Educators - Various Positions 

PRONIA is an ethno-specific community services agency servicing the needs of the Australian Greek community, operating under a dual model of advocacy and service development and delivery.

PRONIA is seeking suitable Children’s Services Educators to fill the vacant positions available at the Alpha Children’s Centre. Reporting to the Manager, you will work in accordance with Children’s Centre policies and procedures; ensure a safe environment is maintained for both staff and children. Any additional tasks will be in line with the overall position relating to the Alpha Children’s Centre.

The successful applicant will have, relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in Early Childhood development and care. Understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity and issues affecting the CALD community. The applicant must have excellent written and oral skills, excellent time management and proficiency in computer use. Proficient in speaking English and preferably a second language would be highly recommended.

Community Care Worker - Positions vacant within PRONIA 

PRONIA is seeking to recruit people to join their vibrant and dynamic Aged & Co-ordinated Care Services Team.

We are looking for people who are interested in providing support to elderly and people with disabilities in the community to work in our Home Care Packages:

  • Home Care: House cleaning (e.g. dusting, wiping, mopping etc.) and other tasks such as washing, ironing, cooking and shopping.
  • Personal Care: Provide assistance for their personal care (e.g. helping with food, assistance in dressing, showering, toilet etc.), as well as accompanying them to appointments or leisure activities.

This is an opportunity for people to join an organisation which prides itself on quality and effective supports and services. Permanent part time work available – up to 30 hours per week.

We are looking for people who currently have a CERT III in Individual Support or equivalent or willingness to do the course whilst in paid employment as a Community Care Worker.
