Pronia helps spread Women’s Health Week message to Greek Community
Jean Hailes and Pronia have teamed up to raise awareness of maintaining good health and wellbeing among women and girls in the Australian Greek community as a community partner for Women’s Health Week. https://www.womenshealthweek.com.au/the-week/
Women’s Health Week is an annual health awareness campaign that brings together communities, health professionals and organisations across Australia through a range of fun and informative activities. With this year’s health checks theme, Jean Hailes is inviting women to ‘check in on their health’ during the week 7-11 September.
With the stress COVID-19 has placed on everyone's lives, it’s now more important than ever to look after our overall health and wellbeing. This September, Women’s Health Week will be a great reminder for women to take time out to check in on their health and to keep making positive changes that can last a lifetime
Brenda Jones, Women’s Health Week campaign manager says Jean Hailes is delighted to be partnering with Pronia, a leading community organisation supporting the Australian Greek community through a range of services and education. “It is thanks to partnership such as this we are able to reach so many women and girls, particularly through culturally and linguistically diverse groups across Australia,” says Ms Jones. “Pronia will help spread our health messages throughout their community, primarily encouraging women to make good health a priority.”
Tina Douvos-Stathopoulos, Pronia CEO says the organisation aims to empower and care for the people in its community. “As an organisation which provides many health services, we fully support programs such as Women’s Health Week which takes a preventative approach by providing free information to help the women in our community gain and maintain good health.”
