Ms Lana Laios – Director

Lana has a versatile skill set. Her professional career spans three decades in a breadth of multi-faceted
roles. These include practising in personal injury law, training adults in consumer legislation
within the Department of Justice and establishing the VCE Legal Studies course at two top-tier independent
schools. Additionally, she managed the English as a Second Language faculty while holding
the position of International Student Coordinator. For the time being, Lana is involved in online
learning for vulnerable and disadvantaged students using specialised trauma-informed responses.
She also has expertise in teaching Modern Greek at secondary level.

Eminently qualified, Lana possesses a double degree in Arts/Law, majoring in Modern Greek. She has
also earned a graduate diploma of Education, a certificate in Adult Training and a master’s degree
in Education Policy (International) with first class honours from the University of Melbourne. Besides
the Australian Greek Welfare Society, Lana is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Victorian
Institute of Teaching, Writers Victoria and the Australian Society of Authors.

It is within this spirit that PRONIA supports the Uluru Statement from the Heart and the “yes” vote in the upcoming referendum to constitutionally recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as the First Peoples of Australia and a Voice to parliament.
