Ms Mary Sophou – Family & Community Services Manager

Mary Sophou joined PRONIA as the Manager of Family and Community Services in late 2017.  Mary has held management position in the public service and community organizations primarily in the area of Families and Children.
As a professional with a keen interest in supporting women and children impacted by family violence, Mary is keen to promote and capacity building through supporting continual learning for the workforce and for professionals entering the field.
Mary holds a Masters of Social Work and a Bachelor of Social Science and is qualified vocational trainer and assessor.

PRONIA has had a long, proud history in advocating for social justice, equality of opportunity for individuals and communities, with the aim of helping to create a stronger, cohesive, and inclusive society for all Australians. It is within this spirit that PRONIA supports the Uluru Statement from the Heart and the “yes” vote in the upcoming referendum to constitutionally recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as the First Peoples of Australia and a Voice to parliament.
