Private & Brokered Services

PRONIA promotes and supports services to maintain and enhance Independent living skills through person centred care that is responsive, flexible, caring, and linguistically & culturally appropriate. Services are available across all regions in Melbourne.

Scope of the Program:

To support frail older people, younger people with a disability and their carers with person centred care.  The services can support people to maintain their independence in their own home and within their community, thereby preventing inappropriate admission to long term residential  care and enhancing quality of life.

PRONIA Private & Brokered Services provide bi-lingual and bi-cultural care and support to carers and care recipients.

The service has been effective in meeting the growing demand from mainstream service providers for in-home and community-based support services to assist individuals to remain living independently within the community.

PRONIA currently has formal agreements with a range of peak aged and disability providers across the Melbourne Metropolitan area.  With its growing workforce capacity the organisation has expanded its service scope to include personal care, home care, in-home and recreational respite and is currently supporting individuals with a range of complex care needs.

PRONIA now has the capacity to deliver much more and can now extend its services to providing trained workers to service providers whose clients are from other ethnic backgrounds or other mainstream clients.

Private Brokerage arrangements

It has been designed to deliver services  directly to private fee paying clients.  Very often packaged care is limited because of a strict weekly budget and if the client’s family is able – PRONIA can provide additional hours to top up an existing package and invoice the family directly.

Alternatively, PRONIA can also assist private fee paying clients with services whilst they are on a waiting list for packaged care or for the only reason that they prefer to have a Greek speaking worker look after their loved ones.
