National Volunteer Week 2023 – PRONIA’s Volunteer Celebratio

During National Volunteer Week, we celebrate our volunteers with a ‘thank you’ event for the amazing volunteers – the time, talent and energy they share to strengthen the fabric of our community and to support our seniors. The celebration took place at the Treacy Centre in Parkville where over one hundred volunteers received their certificate of appreciation from PRONIA’s CEO Ms Tina Douvos-Stathopoulos and Deputy CEO Mrs Nikki Efremidis.
Everyone enjoyed the happy atmosphere, the speeches from the volunteers, the live music, the good food and the special occasion!
This year’s theme ‘the change makers’ was very fitting for what PRONIA’s volunteers do every day by adding their own rays of sunshine to our seniors and their families.
Thank you to our invaluable volunteers for the richness you bring to our Australian-Greek community and to PRONIA. Snapshots from the joyous occasion.

PRONIA has had a long, proud history in advocating for social justice, equality of opportunity for individuals and communities, with the aim of helping to create a stronger, cohesive, and inclusive society for all Australians. It is within this spirit that PRONIA supports the Uluru Statement from the Heart and the “yes” vote in the upcoming referendum to constitutionally recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as the First Peoples of Australia and a Voice to parliament.
