Demetia Information Session

Over 300 people attended the information session on Dementia at the Stars International Hall last Sunday that was hosted by EEAMA and organised by PRONIA and Fronditha Care.
The three organisations joined forces many months ago in order to provide the community with the latest updates and information on the topic of dementia by bringing together the best scientists and experts from our community.
Participants had the opportunity to hear firsthand about the research being carried out now by Dr. Vasso Apostolopoulou and Matthew Staios, obtain general knowledge about dementia from Dr. Arthur Kokkinias and listen about the legal aspeccts from Paul Kounnas, barrister.
Maria Vamvakinou MP who also attended, emphasised on the importance of having more events like this in the future and the audience agreed.
MAny of PRONIA’s staff and volunteers attended the event. Kris Pavlidis, PRONIA’s & Fronditha’s presidents opened the information session with a short salutation each and at the end presented the guest speakers with a small gift of appreciation.
Overall it was a great community event and all participants enjoyed the very informative talks as well as the warm hospitality of EEAMA at the beautiful Stars International Hall where finger food and refreshments were enjoyed after the presentations.
