Who are we?

What you will be doing
We are looking for a Day Centre Cook/Community Care Worker. Your primary role will be as a Day Centre Cook within a small team, responsible for preparing and cooking food for our clients who attend our planned activity groups (PAG) in Brunswick (3 days) and Sunshine (1 day), with a focus on Greek cuisine. Additionally, you assist and support our clients during their time in the planned activity groups.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated cooking experience with a strong understanding of Greek cuisine
- Demonstrated ability to work with elderly from different cultural, linguistic, health and disability backgrounds
- Well-developed English written and oral skills
- Bilingual or Greek speaking – desirable
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Other requirements:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, or willingness to undertake the course within 3 months of employment
- Current certificates in First Aid and CPR, or willingness to complete the course
- Current driver license and access to own insured and registered vehicle
- Safety check on vehicles yearly, meeting safety checklist requirements
- Undergo national police record check

- Part time (5 hours per day, Monday to Thursday), Fixed-term until 30/06/2026 at our Brunswick and Sunshine PAG centres
